TRANSNATIONAL MEETING 3 - SKOPJE 12.03.2021

Due to health measures and restrictions, the meeting that was supposed to take place in Thessaloniki was moved to Skopje. The Greek partner organization ASTERI prepared the thematic content, and the preparation and technical organization was supported by the CID from Kumanovo. Partner organisations from Serbia – “Gentlemen” and FC Lokomotiva were duly represented by their members at the meeting. The focus of the meeting was to present the situation in Greece regarding the behavior of fans on sports fields, with a specific reference to the impact it has on the performance of athletes, as well as the identification of negative consequences. The audience was addressed via electronic communication by guest presenters: • Michalis Triantafillidis, former head coach of the Greek national volleyball team • Dr. Giannis Zarotis, psychologist and professor of physical education • Makis Ioannidis, former head coach of the Greek basketball multiple champion ARIS BC • Aris Likogiannis, professional basketball coach of PAOK BC • Dr. Konstantinos Manologlou, former player of the national basketball team of Greece and a doctor of sports orthopedics The speakers presented their experiences and the situation in Greece in various team sports (football, basketball, volleyball), the problems that exist, as well as ideas for improving the situation in order to develop a new generation of fans.
